I knew SO little about George Eliot that I didn't know she was Mary Ann Evans. Imagine my delight when I found it out.

Mary Ann Evans was a poet, author, journalist, and around badass who fooled them all in the 1800s by writing under a man's name.

Now that we know better, we are much better.
