Journal Me Monday's: My Left- and Right-Brain Sometimes Work Together

Somehow, someway, somewhere in my life, the left- and right sides of my brain started working together.

They converged into an intermix of tangled fingers, and now I'm organized with a spot of creativity.

I kind of love it.

The organization is something that helped me through my separation, then divorce, as I struggled at being a single mother going to school full time and working two jobs. It helped me plan my wedding while I was finishing up college, and it helped me keep track of many things when developing new systems, building new worlds, and coming up with new ideas.

I am not sure if this type of organization works for everyone. I know some writers swear by using outlines, and I don't like to use them for personal fiction. But I like putting words and thoughts into tiny little boxes (aka spreadsheets) and planning out all other need-to-do things in them. I actually even decorate the spreadsheets.

It's just something my brain likes to do.
